home page recent posts as summary instead of full text

  Hi,

  My posts are fairly long because of my photography content. Because of this I would like to customize my home page. I want my home page to be a blog roll of recent posts like it is now but instead of showing “full text” I would like to reveal only a “summary” or partial text and one photograph. Is there a way for me to do this?

  You have three options:
  1. use a theme that automatically provides excerpts on the front page

  2. insert “the more tag” into each post prior to publication.

  3. edit each post and insert the more tag into them.
