home page showing gallery stuff

  I put a new theme on my blog so I could put articles on as well as my photos. I have made a menu called gallery for my photos and they are all there BUT they ALL also appear in the same way on the ‘home page’ I don’t want them there and can’t see a way of moving them.
  Ideas please
