I chose the Academica theme so I could have a slide show on my home page, but it isn’t working. I’ve uploaded five images but one image is just static.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there!
With Academica, every post assigned with a certain tag and given a featured image will be displayed in the Featured Content Slider on the home page of your site.
For more info about Tags and Featured Images:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/tags/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/To enable the slider:
- Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Featured Content.
- Enter the name of a tag.
- Click the blue “Save” button at the bottom.
Once you’ve saved your changes, posts marked with this tag will appear in the featured content slider if they have a featured image. The suggested size for featured images is 960 pixels wide and 300 pixels high.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much and happy blogging!

Thanks Robyn! That helped but I’m still confused as to how you’re specifically supposed to tag your posts …. what exactly do you name your tag to then have it recognized to be a part of the slide show?!
I thought I could just pick photos from my library to have as the slide show, but now you’re saying they need to be images from posts? Is that correct?

Polly, Exactly — the theme you chose has a Post slider. It will choose your latest Posts’ Featured Images to slide on your front page.
You can actually tag your Posts whatever you like, as long as it’s consistent. Let’s say you choose the term “slider.” Tag your desired Posts in that manner.
Then, click Appearance → Customize. Click Featured Content in the right-hand menu on this page. Make sure the term “slider” is also listed there. If it isn’t, add it, and save your changes.
That should do it! I hope this helps! Best wishes to you.
