I set up a wordpress.com site named http://worlddigitalscholarships.wordpress.com and bought the Organization theme. I cannot get the slider to work on the home page. Very disappointed. Can you offer suggestions?

Hi there Alexis, I wanted to check in with you about your slider. I visited your website and you have a working slider displaying three images. It appears as if you figured out the settings you need to make that work. Nicely done.
I do see that you used photos with different dimensions for the featured images displayed in the slider. The suggested size for featured images is 980 pixels wide and 520 pixels high. It will make the slider uniform and sleek.
Here is the spec sheet for your theme:

I try to solve the problem with our slider and may be we are in good way. But I want to ask you how can add text description to each slide like the organisation template. Can you help me?
Thank you and very sorry about our english… -
Hi Alexis, to add text descriptions to your slider, please do the following:
- In your Dashboard, open Posts → All Posts.
- Open one of the Posts that appears in your slider.
- Scroll below the text editor until you see the Excerpt box. Add the text you’d like to appear on your slider, and then click Update.
Hope this helps!

I created this screenshot by opening your post (Slide Tag 1) in the Post Editor, and scrolling down the page.

Alexis, Click Appearance → Widgets. Then click the CSS link at the very bottom of the right-hand sidebar. Delete the brown text that currently resides in the CSS editor, and paste the following into the box:
#searchform {
display: none;
}Make sure you save your changes.
Search function should now be hidden.
Hope this helps!
