Home page “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”

I am on WordPress.com (not .org). I’m a newbie blogger, and I deleted the Home page with the intent of creating a new one. Tabs for both Home and About appears on my page, but I only see About on my Edit Pages page. Same problem regardless of theme selected
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

First off we need a link to the blog. The site linked to your username is not a wordpress.COM blog. We have to be able to take a look in order to help.

If this is the blog you are talking about, http://sundbergpackaging.wordpress.com/ , what you did was delete the “hello world” post which means that wordpress cannot find anything to show on your main page and therefore there is an error. Create a post, publish it and the error will go away.

I’ve got the same problem. I’m just starting out on a new blog: http://scalingtheheights.wordpress.com/ and I did the same thing – deleted the “Hello World” post. I tried creating a post and publishing it, but I still have a tab with “Home” written on it, but you get the “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.” message if you click on it. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help…

Clear your browser cache and look at it again. I see a “hello world again” post on your main page.
-
Actually I now see a post called “The Scaling the Heights Discussion site.”
The “home” tab is the link back to your blog’s main page (the one with the posts on it).

Except now I’ve tried again – and it has worked! Should have kept trying a little longer for crying to the forum. Thanks guys!

Not a problem. There have been a few reports that posts have seen a slight delay before showing up on the blog main page after publishing, so it might have been that delay. The delay should disappear soon and could be the result of upgrades or tinkering by staff.
