home page spacing

  I am very frustrated with this. I have the Edin theme and am having trouble with the home page. 1) There is a huge blank space between the title and the content 2) I have a series of images + text, one set for each content page. I am trying to line them up so that the user can see all the sets without having to scroll down. Basically, the huge empty space plus the inability to line up the sets of images + text (i.e., not having sets take up more than one line per) makes it so the user sees only a bit of the content on the home page.
