Home page template making content thinner? Gateway theme

  Hi

  I recently switched to the home page template of my theme (gateway) so that I could add some text above the hero image.

  However, it has a much thinner content area, and is squashing my content and some has come out of line. How do I target this page / template only, and get it to be the same width as the rest of my pages which are using the full width-no side bar template.
