Home page views on dashboard
-
Has WordPress only just started to indicated views of the Homepage or have I just not noticed it until now?
Let me explain. Two weeks ago, “homepage” began appearing at the top of my views each day. Up to that point, views always indicated a specific post. Yet when I clicked on homepage to find out the history of the views, I discovered that views of the homepage went back to the start of the blog. Indeed, almost 20 % of all views had come from the homepage since the blog began.
But I just never remember seeing it on my dashboard until recently.
Anyone else noticed something similar?

The Home page of your blog is the front page that visitors see first when they click in. WordPress.com stats are for page views they are not for individual visitors. To see what is included in Home page stats read this support documentation entry http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

Really useful. I don’t quite know how I missed it all.
Will the analysis on the dashboard be upgraded to match the new homepage stats function? What I mean is that there is only information as to who people get to individual posts.
Thanks once again.
