If you delete the Hello World placeholder post that 404 (page not found) error message appears. Not to worry though, because as soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear.

I posted a post, and the error is still there on the main page.
I would like to remove the “home” tab or be able to copy a page onto it to remove the error- is that possible? -
You do not have any Posts on your blog. You have only Pages. The two are very different http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ If you still aren’t clear on the differences between pages and posts then I sugest you read this > Better Blogging at WordPress.com: Pages and Posts

I was working on a “post” when your email came in. I do understand the difference between a post and page.
I am fairly new to this, 2 days in and trying to understand the process.
what would be my next step?
thanks so much! -
