By default, the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post, not a page, the error message will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
This is a one or the other situation. You have two choices on any blog
(1) All posts on the front page.
(2) A static front page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ and all posts on a different page.By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.
However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

My bad. I went to contact WordPress and this is where it led me. There’s no need to get upset if I asked for help in the wrong place. I’ll certainly keep that in mind the next time when I ask for help.

I’m not in least little bit upset. lol :D
I have answered questions here for over 10 years and I predate all support docs as well as all but one Support Staff member, even being on Staff. I don’t think there’s any situation here that could ever upset me. ;)
Not to worry :) as Staff will help you as soon as they answer all threads tagged for their assistance, prior to me tagging this one.

You can delete this thread. I’ll use blogger since WordPress has been an issue for me for a while.

Hi there,
It appears that you are using a custom menu with the setting to automatically add new pages you publish to the menu.
The problem is if you then delete a page, that page is not automatically removed from the custom menu.
To fix it, open the Customizer for your site:
https://wordpress.com/customize/designedbyrebekah.wordpress.comClick on Menus ->Primary.
There, click on each item except the very first Home item, and delete them all. Then click Add Item ->Pages, and add the pages you want to appear in your menu. You can also change the order of the pages using the Reorder link next to the Add Item button.

Thank you kokkieh for the helpful reply! I greatly appreciate it! It fixed the issue. I’ll keep this in mind the next time I have this issue.
