Home vs. Home Page / Archive
-
The My Stats page shows both “home” and “home page / archive” under the top posts and pages. What’s the difference? If I click either of them, they both go to the sane home page. Why does the stats page count some views under “home” and others under “home page / archive”?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Steve,
Date and category archive listings are actually counted the same as the Home Page when the home page is set to display posts.
So, when you originally saw your Home Page it was a total of Home Page views and Archive views. Now, it is changed to “Home Page / Archives”.
Just a note, archive pages include: category pages, tag pages, author pages
Cheers!

Grace,
Thanks for your response, but I don’t understand it. You introduced some new terms for me and I’d appreciate it if you could explain. What’s a date and category archive listing? What’s a category, tag and author page? For that matter, what’s an archive? If there’s a glossary or tutorial that describes all of this, please feel free to refer me.
My site structure is pretty simple. I have a blog, a home page which is different than the blog page and a few other static pages (e.g. about) in addition. My stats calls out all of the views of the blog entries and pages individually.

Hi Steve,
Sure! Here’s a couple great support guides that will help:
http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2013/06/18/stats/ <- Tags and categories are also mentioned here. You don’t have category pages.
Blog is also your archives page (contains all your posts). Home Page is page you titled Home.
