  Has anyone come across a theme/template that would work in setting up a homeowners’ association site?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I think many themes can be used for this purpose and have seen various ones used on various sites. Why don’t you try using the find a theme link here https://theme.wordpress.com/ so the feature filters selectors open up.

  Maybe one of these will suit https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/professional/?sort=free

  I agree with timethief – many different themes could suit your purposes.

  Think about what sort of features and layout you want, to try to narrow down the options. Do you need a sidebar? A slider? Does the site feature a blog or news section more prominently, or is it mainly a static site? What sort of look-and-feel are you aiming for? Do you want a free theme or a premium theme?

  Depending on your needs, a few themes that could work are:

  Sela: https://selademo.wordpress.com/

  Big Brother: https://bigbrotherdemo.wordpress.com/

  Edin: https://edindemo.wordpress.com/

  Goran: https://gorandemo.wordpress.com/

  Thanks for the help! I need some general info landing page(s) that talk about our community and amenities and then some private, members only, pages that have a members directory and resources like complaint forms, rules, board of director listing, etc.

  It’s possible to password-protect specific pages on WordPress.com, but only only a single password can be set, so everyone will have the same one:

  How do you set up a “register as a member” scheme for people trying to view the private pages for the first time? I’d like to be able to authorize people before we let them see behind the curtain.

  That’s not something that you’d be able to do here on WordPress.com.

  For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted site running on your hosting, where you could explore membership plugins that would give you those sorts of capabilities.

  Sorry, I guess that I should have been more clear. The site is hosted at Godaddy, so I should have some additional features, right?
