  when I type in my wordpress.com name it says page not found

  Because you haven’t made any blog posts yet. Do so and they’ll show up there.

  Oh, okay. But I am using this as a website not a blog, So what do I do to make that disappear? I tried adding a header photo but no matter what I do the image is huge

  You will have to create a static page and use that for the landing page of your site. You set that after creating the Page, on the dashboard settings->General page of teh blog.
