Homepage and blog page

    I think i have done some thing wrong the set go … and have managed to work my way around until now… I wish to post a blog post but as i am unable to with out it coming on my homepage and my blog have the same content…. if i place on static i have homepage and blog but when i write a new post it comes on my homepage.
    I have homepage as a post and and not a page …. can i change homepage from a post to a page… it doesn’t come up as a scroll – I guess because it is a post page

    First create one new page to be your homepage (ex: “Home”) and one to display your posts (ex: “Blog”), or decide which existing pages you’d like to use for these.

    Then in your customizer at https://wordpress.com/customize under Homepage Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar, choose “A static page” for “Your homepage displays.” This will allow you to select your desired page as a homepage and another page for your posts.
