homepage area mysteriously narrowed (head banner photo chopped)

  Recently my blog home page view has been mysteriously narrowed (my site title head banner photo has been chopped and the menu bar buttons are placed in two rows instead of one)…i didn’t do anything to alter my setting in APPEARENCE/ THEME, so may i ask what happen? how can i restore it back to its original? thanks!
