Homepage Display

  I have set one of the pages as the homepage yet when I open my site a different page displays as the homepage. What would be the likely cause and how do I resolce this issue. Sorry if the question seems vague, but I lack better words to describe the situation,but hopefully you have understood me. I am a novice, o please understand me.

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there!

  To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

  1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
  2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
  3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

  Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

  The good news is that because you use the open-source variant of the WordPress platform (which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com), help is available at the community forums here:

  The folks in the open-source forum are more familiar with these issues and are in the best position to help.
