Homepage – excerpts only

    Hello!
    I haven’t been using my blog for a very long time. I published two new posts Saturday May 9th. I wanted to fix something regarding the theme. So I changed it. Now on my homepage there is the full latest post, not only the excerpts as before. I tried to fix it, but didn’t succeed. Coud you please help me?

    Hi there – it sounds like you may have tried switching to another theme.

    Some themes show the full post by default on the home page. And others show only excerpts by default.

    If you switch to a theme which shows the full post, you can force it to show excerpts by adding the More Block to each post: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/

    When you try the new theme again, try using the More Block on the latest post to see if that helps you achieve the excerpt you are wanting.
