Homepage Image HTML Code

  Hi,

  I’m looking to put an image on my sidebar but for it to be on my Homepage only! I don’t think it’s possible to do this with the Image Widget but there should be a HTML code that can sort this out with using the Text Widget. Also, I need the image to link to a specific URL.

  Does anyone know a code I could use for this? Any responses will be much appreciated.

  No, but from other posts I’ve read I was under the impression I wouldn’t need to and that there would be a way to write the appropriate HTML into the Text Widget that would suffice. Am I wrong?

  The HMTL in a text widget part is a snap.

  You require a theme that displays that text widget only on the front page and very few themes are coded to do that. Academia may be one and Twenty Twelve is one. This may be helpful when trying to locate a theme http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/02/26/sidebars-and-other-widget-areas/
