Homepage issues

  Hi ppl..

  Im kinda new to this whole thing, and i am trying to create a small website using wordpress.com.

  My issue is, how do i remove the ”home”page that comes standard with the theme? i can add pages, but there is always still a homepage in the menu and it has ”nothing to be found”

  Is there a way to removed this? am i missing a box to tick or something simple? all i really want is a few pages for my site, i know how to add them etc.. but i need to get rid of this standard home page. Is this making any sense at all?

  i dont want any comment boxes, or posts or any of that on any pages, i would just like normal pages with content of my choice, no comment dates, etc.. is this possible with this software?

  Im clueless when is comes to CSS aswell so please, keep the answers as simple as possible..

  Any help would be extremely appreciated.. hope to hear from someone soon..

  ok ok… i have it….like i said, i knew i had just missed a box i had ticked, or unticked…either or..

  what was the answer? I am having the same problem, even after assigning a static page under the “Reading Setting”

  The answer is theme specific and we need to know which blog and which theme are in question here. The free hosted WordPress.com blog linked to your username appears to be empty and has the Wu Wei theme. Is that the blog in question or not?

  I am also wondering how you remove the dates & categories on the home page for the Wu Wei theme. When I change the Reading Settings to be a Static Page then it renames that page as “Home” which I don’t want. Any suggestions about how to just remove the date & categories from the home page as is?

  YOU’d need to know how to edit CSS and buy the paid CSS upgrade.
