Hi there, this seems more difficult than it needs to be. I presume my posts should be coming up in the order in which they are published, but they are not.

hi,
From what I can see on your blog now, these are the posts order:
1. the first three posts are those published on 24 Apr
2. two posts published on 10 Apr
3. a post on 9 Apr
4. a post on 7 AprWhat order were you expecting ?
-
Hi there, the order should be Isla Mujeres Mexico –> Havana & Trinidad, Cuba –> Playa del Carmen, Mexico –> Tulum, Mexico –> Bacalar, Mexico –> Caye Caulker, Belize –> Raggamuffin Tour, Belize. Thank you

hi,
I extracted the publication dates of the posts:
Isla Mujeres Mexico (7 Apr) –> Havana & Trinidad, Cuba (10 Apr) –> Playa del Carmen (10 Apr), Mexico –> Tulum, Mexico (9 Apr) –> Bacalar, Mexico (24 Apr) –> Caye Caulker, Belize (24 Apr)–> Raggamuffin Tour, Belize (24 Apr)
The default order for posts is to display from latest to earliest.
Your preference is generally from earliest to latest.
One way to achieve what you want is to change the titles of your post by adding a sequence eg.
1. Isla Mujeres, 2. Havana & Trinidad …..
and then use the Display Posts short code orderby Title.
