Homepage only shows images for most posts

    For some reason, my homepage only shows images for most of my blogposts and omits the text accompanying them. I can’t figure out why it’s not showing text for all posts. Does anyone know what might cause the text for most of my posts to not show up on my page?

    This is very strange, I’m sorry, I’m having trouble identifying what’s causing this.

    If you switch to https://wordpress.com/theme/twentysixteen/ does the issue continue?

    Yes, the problem disappears when I change themes to the one you suggested. So far the problem appeared in both the twenty thirteen and twenty seventeen themes.
    I’ll keep trying new themes and hope to find another one I like.

    I kind of wonder if these bugs will ever get fixed, or if twenty thirteen and twenty seventeen will remain this way. If they ever get fixed I’d love to switch back to either. I’m quite nostalgic about the way my blog looked.

    I’ve asked our theme developers to take a look, but that is a good point.

    Twenty Thirteen is a lovely theme; I used it myself for a time, but as the name implies, it was made in 2013, almost 10 years ago, and we retire older themes from time to time since they cannot support new features.

    If you’re comfortable switching, now might be a good time to try some new themes.

    If you love sidebars, there was a long period where those feel out of style, so without diving into our new Full Site Editor https://wordpress.com/support/full-site-editing/ Twenty Sixteen will be your best shot at a more recent theme.

    If you’re interested in diving into the new Full Site Editor, Stewart has a sidebar and came out this year https://wordpress.com/theme/stewart/ and it’s the theme I use on my personal site now.

    By the way, if you like a new Full Site Editor theme as-is, there’s no need to get into the editor, but it is there if you want to change almost anything, like, for example, add a sidebar to any Full Site Editor theme: https://wordpress.com/support/add-a-sidebar/

    Thanks for the help. For now, I’m switching to Pique. Might give your recommendations a try in the future, when I’m in the mood to, but for now this is alright.
