homepage problem and broken links
-
A click on my homepage brings me to the homepage of another empty site.
I discovered this behavior as i went to my blog adress (Utsitwork.wordpress.com) and noticed at first that links to images on all the pages had been broken. Very upsetting. I fear that if I delete the empty homepage (called “Utsitest.wordpress.com”) i might delete the whole site called Utsitwork.wordpress.com.
Could you verify this for me ?
Thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – the Home tab on your Custom Menu is set up as a custom link linking back to that other site. If you go to Appearance->Menus in your Dashboard and click the little gray arrow to expand your “Home” menu item, you’ll see where the incorrect URL is stored.
To fix it, just click the red Remove link in there. Then, in the Pages module to the left of your menu, you’ll see a “View All” link at the top. Click that, and you’ll see a page that’s called “Home: Home.” That’s your proper home tab and you can add that to your menu instead of a custom link tab. Remember to click “Save Menu” after you’ve added it.
Let me know if you have any trouble finding that!

Hello,
Must thank you for a very precise and helpful walk through. I somehow overlooked that area for link remedy. Could you tell me why this happened ? Why the site links just “broke ” in such a way ?Cordialy, Brian

Hi Brian,
Our records show that you changed your site’s address from utsitest.wordpress.com to utsitwork.wordpress.com about three days ago. However, custom links in your custom menu aren’t automatically updated when you change your site’s address, which is why the link to the old address was still there.
If you have any other questions about this, please let us know!
