Homepage Reader not working

  I’m having the same issue with the reader page being blank and only showing a “0”. However, I have multiple computers… my Windows system, using Firefox loads the reader just fine (I tried after reading through this thread). My Apple, using Safari version 5.1.7 is where I am having the issue. Both machines connect through wireless Netgear router to a cable modem for internet access. After following all the advice offered here, I have tried using https://wordpress.com for logging in and now the reader page has loaded. Should we just be re-bookmarking our wordpress access to this now? Thanks for the help!

  I’ve been having the same issue for a few days now, my laptop software is all up to date (as far as I can see) and this is the only website I am having issues with.

  My reader is not working and I have the 0 in the upper left corner only. I have tried all of your suggestions and it is still the same. I am connecting using DSL and am using Internet Explorer Version 9.

  This is such a pain – been trying to unfollow 2 blogs on my list – they are defunct and I’d like to get them off my blog. However, Reader doesn’t work and hasn’t for weeks. WTH? Please fix it or come up with another way to unfollow dead blogs.

  Oh yeah – none of the suggestions for me to fix the problem work. The problem is with wordpress.

  I’ve had this problem on and off for ages. Sometimes the ‘Reader’ will work, other times not.
  I have never seen a “0” though, just a blank page.

  I’ve tried all the tricks listed above, and still no success.

  Blogs I Follow is blank. Reccommended Blogs shows up. None of my Topics work.

  If you have posted into this thread and there is no blog linked to your username then please post an active linbk starting with http:// to your blog.

  (1) How you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.

  (2) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/
