homepage reformatted itself
-
When I saved a blog post (at http://www.tacomaarts.wordpress.com) it changed the look of the homepage, i.e., the headline broke up and a huge blank space appeared between the head and the text and obliterates the next two posts. If I go to the address for the post itself (instead of clicking on the homepage), it looks fine. Suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
I see the issue. If you have been copying and pasting text from elsewhere without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor, please see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-textGo to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Posts > All Posts, change all your latest posts to Draft, click Update, change them back to Published, click Update again. (You can edit all of them at once: tick the square in front of their titles then select Edit from the Bulk Actions dropdown and click Apply.)
Please let us know if that resolves your issue or not.

Thank you for troubleshooting this. I followed your directions with the 4 posts that were displaying incorrectly and republished them and all but one is showing up correctly. There was one sigle post that when I followed the same steps and published, it would mess up the formatting of the most recent 3 again. So, I just look that post down for now. Not sure what the issue is with it or how to fix it.

There must be some errors in the code of the post you describe. Were the contents in it copied and pasted from elsewhere? If you have the post in draft or in public at present what I would do is edit it. I would then cut all of the code in the HTML editor and click the icon 5 or icon 6 (Word). When the pop-up box appears and would paste all that code into it and then click “insert”. Are you willing to try that? http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text

Just a bit ago I went in and copied the text in the post that wasn’t working and pasted it into Notepad to take out any formatting. I then copied that and pasted it into a new post. That post is now working just fine.
And yes, I believe the post that wasn’t working was originally written in another program such as Text Edit and then copied and pasted into WordPress.
