Homepage settings and blog pages

    I am a novice at WordPress. My only experience with building a website is with Squarespace. I’m trying to find the ‘homepage settings.’ I have followed the directions on the tutorial video, but when I click on ‘customizer,’ I do not see ‘homepage settings.’ I really want to learn WordPress, but I am finding it kind of hard to find everything the tutorial is saying should be there.

    Also, I am really wanting a home page and two blog pages. How does one create a blog page that has a link & preview on the homepage? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi there,

    You’re not seeing that option because you don’t have any pages published on your site. You can’t set a page as homepage if you don’t have any pages to start with :)

    Go to My Site ->Pages and publish the draft page you have there, and you should then have the option to set that as the homepage.

    Multiple blog pages on the same site isn’t possible. A site can only have one blog page.

    But you can use categories to divide your blog posts by topic, and then use either category pages, or regular pages with the blog posts block, filtered by category, on those pages.

    To display a preview of your most recent posts on the front page, you can also use the blog posts block on the page:
