Homepage settings help

Hello! I’m currently trying to work on building my website, but have run into a minor inconvenience. Currently, the homepage displays the same information that is found on the ‘About’ page. I would love for the two pages to be different from each other, but for some reason, I’m having a bit of difficulty doing so. Please help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

HI @cameljockeyracinginc, cool site. It seems that your navigation is simply linking to the incorrect page.

When I visit your site, cameljockeyracinginc.wordpress.com, I arrive at your home page. This homepage has a URL or web address of cameljockeyracinginc.wordpress.com. Your home button, on your main navigation is linking to cameljockeyracinginc.wordpress.com/about-2, which is the address for your about page. This is why it appears as if your about page is taking over.

You can fix this by logging into your account, navigating to your site, and then accessing customize.

    Site > Customize

This will be on the left-hand side of the screen. From here click:

    Menus > Primary > Home

The field titled “URL” (first box under Home) should simply display a forward slash “/”. At the moment it probably displays something like “/about-2” or “cameljockeyracinginc.wordpress.com/about-2”. Change it to “/” and you should have your home page accessible from your navigation again!

If you run into any more problems you can post here again or search wordpress.com/support and search “menus”.

Here are some links you may find useful.

Let me know if you need anything else, hope you get back up and running soon.
