Homepage Sidebar

when I originally set up my blog I hid (somehow) the sidebar on the home page bc I didn’t want viewers to see the admin login stuff. Now I am trying to put the facebook widget on my homepage (and all pages) on the sidebar. It is showing on all pages but the home page and I can not figure out how to get it back. Please help!!

Hi there,
The only things that should appear in your sidebar are your active widgets. Can you please provide me a screenshot of the admin login that you are seeing? Please upload take to your media library and I’d be more than happy to look into it for you.
After looking into your account, I found that you did add the Facebook widget to your blog. Please note that this theme does not display the sidebar on the main posts page (only on single page, archive, and search views), but you can add footer widgets on any page.

so to be clear, there is no way to add the Facebook like to the sidebar of my home page? Is there a way to make it more prominent on the home page? I am afraid people don’t scroll all the way down to the footer?

Hi there,
Unfortunately, with this theme, no, it would not be possible since it is built into the theme. However, what you can do is create a sticky post with a link to your Facebook page. This will make sure that post is always at the top of your blog and the background color will usually differ from all your other posts.
