homepage with more posts than selected

  Hello i am using wp template named simplemag for my blog. But i cannot find why my homepage and any other page that i am creating for displaying a list of blog post; displays more posts than my limitation. The additional number of posts are equal to the number of posts which are shown twice. Hope you will be able to help me finding a solution. Best Regards…
