Horizontal twitter widget
-
Hello there,
I’d like to insert a twitter widget directly in the body of a page (not as a sidebar widget) but when I copy & paste the html link that is given to me by twitter, it does not work. Any idea why this may be happening?
My other question is this: is it possible to have a horizontal, rather than vertical, twitter widget and how can I make it horizontal?
The website I need help with is: http://yalakom.org/ and I’d like to put the widget on my home page, below the “hr” line.
Thanks in advance for your assistance, time and consideration!
Best, Alzira
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Inserting any widgets into any pages or posts is not possible on any WordPress.COM hosted blog. Here widgets can be used only in sidebars and footer areas designated for widget use.

Thanks for responding tho that makes me sad. I suppose I will have to migrate to wp.org very soon!

You can embed a Twitter timeline within a post or page using the shortcode method:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/#embedding-with-a-shortcode
The display options will be limited to the ones you’ll see on the Twitter side, such as height and link colour.
Let me know how it goes.

Thx a lot Kathrynwp, I did try it and it works very well! In the end, I decided not to use it on the page because it didn’t fit as I wanted. But it’s a great way to embed a twitter timeline!
