hosted WordPress but linked back to WP.com?

  Hi
  I’m thinking of getting some hosting and running my wordpress on that, however I don’t know if this means essentially that I’m leaving WP.com and not being linked to, commented from, or receiving traffic from the wordpress.com site?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  As long as you have commenting enabled, then anyone will be able to comment on it whether they have a blog here or elsewhere.

  You will no longer be connected to wordpress.COM so you will not be listed on the global tags pages and will not benefit from the google juice those pages have.

  Ah right, so no buddy liking from global tags, or traffic from related sites? bit of a shame. I was hoping there was some way of linking them so that you could have the visibility of WP.com, BUT with the ability to fiddle with the themes etc to your hearts content.

  That’s correct, you can’t have it both ways. You can always install the Sphere plugin, which does sort of what Possibly Related Posts does.
