Altmed.creighton.edu school of homeopathic medicine aka supplements, is requesting a password and user name authorization on my blog page. I am considering this a hostel cyber attack.

I have literally never seen that on a WordPress.com blog.
1) change your email password NOW to something very strong. The email that’s associated with your WordPress.com blog, ie your admin email.
2) then and only then, change the blog password.
That should lock them out. They usually get in via hacked emails. If you find anyone on the Users page that shouldn’t be in the list, delete them.
I’ve flagged this for staff attention.

Go here > Users > All Users and delete any user that does not belong there.

Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.
Go to your email program and change the password to a very difficult one

I have done all those things but it is still there. I am going to delete all the pictures in the post. Maybe there is a restriction on a pictures I used which would apply passwords and use names to access the pictures? I will edit all new pictures in a paint file and re-post them. Edu sites have different access to the internet, someone might be able to attack me at an edu server? Thank you for the help.

A username and password are being requested by http://altmed.creighton.edu. The site says: "altmed.creighton.edu"You are probably hot linking to the site for a picture or other files – remove the links on your page

Thanks, it was a picture hot link. Got it fixed now but I am sure they do it again. Thank you

You weren’t under attack – it is the way the other web site set the privacy / security for that link – some sites don’t like hot linking to their sites for pictures – uses their bandwidth not yours – many sites other than WordPress.COM limit the bandwidth that can be used before charging the user a lot more money or shutting the web site down for a while –

Well, it really was an attack because the owners of the site whose picture I had been using for 5 months, recently added the hotlink. My blog and their homeopathic school are in direct conflict over subject matter. Although they had every right to do it, it was still done to effect my page, as a hostel response toward me and my blog.
