  I have wordpress installed on hostgator, but cant login with my password

  Hi there,

  There are two different versions of WordPress.

  These forums only provide support for the WordPress.com version; your site appears to use the self-hosted version from WordPress.org.

  If you need support for a self-hosted site, please try posting your question in the WordPress.org support forums.

  Yes, you can delete it from your hosting account.

  If you have questions about the self-hosted version of WordPress, please post them in the WordPress.org support forums, or try contacting your host.

  The forum you’re currently posting in does not provide support for the version of WordPress your site is using.

  Thank you for your help
  Currently i have uninstalled under cpanel,account installs and it confirms there is nothing installed, yet it wont reinstall wordpress as it says directory is not empty
