Hostgator to WordPress domain name

  Hello,

  I currently pay Hostgator for my domain name, and I would like to transfer my business to WordPress.com. Is there a link to advice on how to do this?

  My site already uses wordpress, so I figured that transferring my business directly to wordpress would make things easier for me to manage.

  Hi there,

  If you are coming from a self- hosted WordPress site, you will need to follow this guide. It goes over all of the necessary steps to successfully transition from WordPress.org to WordPress.com.
  If you wish to keep your domain name, you will need to set up domain mapping on your new WordPress.com site. To do this, you will need to purchase an upgraded WordPress.com plan.
