Hosting

I have rickparker.com hosted by Godaddy. I an soon to renew my hosting but the only thing I really do anymore is my rickparker.com site with is a wordpress site. I used to have a business and a few easy websites that were just for fun. I really don’t have a lot of depth in hosting and domain stuff. Just enough to be dangerous. Does WordPress provide me a hosting solution?

Your site, rickparker.com, is currently hosted by us at WordPress.com
Domain registration is a separate component, and you have that registered at GoDaddy.
You’ll need to keep both of these, but there’s no need to have *hosting* at GoDaddy. You’ll just need to keep the domain registration with them.

Thank you Chris that was a lot of help. The Godaddy was ready to take some of my money.
Separately, can you tell if the “free” Toujours Theme allows me to blog post a video? I am not sure if it has the right plugins and widgets and such. As mentioned above, “Just enough to be dangerous”

Absolutely, you can embed videos from places like YouTube or upload ones here with the premium plan. This will work for all our themes.
Uploading plugins isn’t possible here, but you typically don’t need them, as we preinstall a bunch!
