  I’m wondering why people use different hosting for wordpress.

  Hi there,

  There are a few reasons people would choose to self- host instead of hosting here at WordPress.com. Third- party plugins and themes can be installed if you self-host, but you are much more responsible for the technical upkeep of the site.
