  I want to leave my domain exactly where it is for now. I simply want to try WordPress to see how well I like it’s design features. It looks like my only choices are move my domain to wordpress or, leave it where it is but subscribe to wordpress for some reason. Can I explore WordPress without moving my domain or subscribing to something I don’t know if I want yet?

  Absolutely, it’s highly recommended that you don’t transfer you’re domain until you’re certain you wish to use WordPress.com. You can create a free site now at https://wordpress.com/start

  If you want to use the paid features, you can purchase a plan and you have 30 days to cancel it and receive a full refund. You’ll need a paid plan to transfer or map your domain to WordPress.com.
