Hosting

I was curious as to what the difference between paying for your premium plan vs what pipelinePRO offers on their platform for wordpress hosting for 19.99 per month?

I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

    Hello hello!

You can read about the differences here:
    https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
(where “wordpress.org” refers to WordPress installations outside of WordPress.com)

The long story short of it is that WordPress.com is a managed-hosting platform that provides its own security, built-in features (comments, polls, etc.), and easily accessible live support who can provide support ranging from where to find buttons to CSS advice, debugging, etc.

The degree of provided features and support depends on the purchased plan:

Alternatively, other web host providers may come with the open-source WordPress software installation. Much of the maintenance, security, and general back-end work will be your responsibility. How much support you receive for the website will depend on the hosting package.

Basically, WordPress.com lets you focus on building the website, whereas self-hosted WordPress.org installations through other providers come with extra responsibilities.

Personally, I find the price point for using plugins to be one of the most important considerations.

    I hope this helps!
