Hi! I’m wondering if you can educate me on what to look for in a WP host? I just redesigned a site for my client and he wants to host with his current provider. But, the web developer I used is saying I should host with him. Not sure whom to go with, but need to know what is best for the client. My main concern is updating the site once it’s live. I want to update WP software, template and plug ins with a click of a button. Does host effect this? Thanks!

Most hosts meet WordPress minimum requirements:
Regardless of your host, you can update WordPress, your theme and your plugins with one-click within your /wp-admin/ dashboard. Or using Jetpack Manage, you can set them all to auto-update (also regardless of host.)
Your choice of hosting provider will more likely depend on how you feel about their pricing, customer service, how well they can handle your likely amounts of traffic, etc.
