Hosting a Zoho discussion forum on a subdomain purchased through WP?

  Hi,

  I have added a subdomain to my account, discussions.occupynewbrunswick.org. Using Zoho Discussions, I created a discussion forum for my group.

  I set the forum settings to point to http://discussions.occupynewbrunswick.org

  I then updated my DNS records as follows (Zoho discussions asks to create a CNAME record to point to the IP address 74.201.154.141):

  CNAME discussions 74.201.154.141

  As I understand it, going to discussions.occupynewbrunswick.org ought to now take me to my Zoho Forums, but it doesn’t work.

  What am I doing wrong? Please help, as I’m not an expert!

  You can’t use an IP Address for a CNAME record, you can only use a hostname like forums.example.com. for a CNAME record.

  Instead of CNAME discussions 74.201.154.141 you need A discussions 74.201.154.141. I’ve updated your DNS records for you to the correct version.
