hosting and plugins
-
Hi there,
My blog is registered under a free wordpress site that I registered years ago, then when I created my current, new site, I just created another site within the free wordpress username I already had and then bought and registered my own domain name and attached my current blog to that which I purchased from wordpress´s domain selling website.
Today I registered with Bluehost. However, I still don´t have a plugins option on my wordpress dashboard. I looked on the support site and it said if it was not a separately hosted site, then i wouldnt have that plugin option. So I need to work out if my sight is separtely hosted which i guess it´s not because everything is registered to wordpress and then work out how to fully transfer it all the Bluehost and install the plugins tab and also the redirection and tracking tab.
How can I do all of this and work out what I need to do??
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This would be a lot simpler if you’d just give us the URLs of whatever sites you are talking about.
http://sunsalsaandsombreros.com/ is a WordPress.com site which cannot use plugins.
Any Bluehost site can use plugins.
To move off WP.com to Bluehost:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/

Well the only url I have is the sunsalsaandsombreros.com which is the domain name I purchased and is attached to my wordpress.com blog of the same name.
So are you saying that if I just move my site to Bluehost I should be able to do everything I need to do? Or would you recommend moving to a wordpress.org site first? Thanks for your help!!

Moving to Bluehost, moving to WordPress.org site and self-hosting are all one and the same.
You need to transfer your domain name (sunsalsaandsombreros.com) from its current home, WordPress.com to BlueHost using the first link provided by raincoaster. Then use the second link to transfer your content.
