The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Are you speaking of http://jackmick.wordpress.com/? That site looks fine to me – it contains several posts and pages, and our logs don’t show that anything has recently been deleted from that site.

Or are you perhaps speaking of https://www.arukhana.com/? That site isn’t hosted with us, just connected to your WordPress.com account via the Jetpack plugin, and we have no direct control over that site.

That site is built using the open source WordPress.org software and hosted at Hostgator.com. I notice it’s just loading a white screen at the moment, which most likely points to something being wrong with your WordPress installation on Hostgator’s servers. Whatever the problem is, is also the cause of why you can’t access your site from our end via Jetpack.

The good news is your data isn’t lost. It should all still exist in the site’s database on the server. But an error in the software is preventing you from accessing it, most likely a file that become corrupted during an update or a plugin that’s causing a conflict.

Please contact Hostgator support directly for help – hopefully they have a backup from when your site was still working which they can restore.

If not, you can find instructions on how to troubleshoot this type of error in WordPress at https://wordpress.org/support/article/common-wordpress-errors/, or you can ask the WordPress.org community, who makes that software, for advice in their forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

    I am talking about jackmick.wordpress.com
this site is directed to the following domain – borntofly.club
    wordpress is hosting this site

I want the nameserver to give to godaddy so that they configure the site

  • If you’d like to use the domain borntofly.club with your WordPress.com site, you’d need to purchase one of our paid plans and connect the domain as explained here:

    https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/.

Is that what you were looking to achieve?

    hi
i have already purchased it – my site was working with wordpress hosting until last week.
Please update if it has expired

How can i find the namesever needed to link

The domain borntofly.club is not registered with nor has it ever been used on a WordPress.com hosted site. It looks like you set that domain that is registered at GoDaddy to redirect to your jackmick.wordpress.com website. That is still working and your site and it’s contents can still be found at jackmick.wordpress.com.

If you want to use borntofly.club instead of jackmick.wordpress.com, you need to do three things:

    1. Purchase a plan.
    2. When prompted in the plan purchase process, select “use a domain I already own”.
    3. Update the domain nameservers at GoDaddy to use WordPress.com’s nameservers and remove that redirect.

If you only change your domain nameservers without purchasing a plan, your site will show an error message.

Let us know if those steps are unclear.

Additionally, it looks like your domain is going to expire in 7 days, so you should make sure you renew that at GoDaddy as well.
