  • Hi there,

You can find some details about the Business plan and how it is different from other plans and from self-hosted plans here:

  • Hi –

What type of information are you looking for when talking about dedicated hosting?

I’m happy to help – I just want to have a clear understanding of what you are asking us about.

There’s not a traffic limit or site size limit on the business plan. We don’t throttle your site speed due to traffic in any way. Does that help?

On the business plan, is our website on shared server(s) that is hosted with other websites or is it on dedicated server(s) where only our website resides?

  • WordPress.com is a shared hosting environment, with every site hosted and cached on various servers around the world.

Can you please provide more information on why this is important to you to know? Whether or not your site is on its own server makes no difference at all to site performance or uptime on WordPress.com, regardless of what plan you’re on.

Thank you for your reply and addressing the question from the original poster. Would WordPress.com’s shared hosting environment under the Business Plan be able to host a WordPress site with this volume?

    • 350K posts
    • 1TB of HTML post content (no media)
    • 1K new posts daily
    • 30K authors
    • 100K+ website visits / month
    • 23K daily search engine crawls
  • HI there,

There are no limits on bandwidth or traffic your site can get when it’s hosted on WordPress.com. We serve billions of pages every month so you can be assured that your site will be up and ready to handle heavy traffic.

Your site will be hosted on the same infrastructure that keeps online known sites like New York Post, VentureBeat, USA Today, and more.

If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help.

I paid for the business hosting plan on WordPress.com by Automattic but I receive the 500 error page when accessing the wp-admin/widgets.php page. I contacted the Happiness Engineers and they are unable to resolve the error. Below is the log they provided showing an Allowed memory size exhausted error; can anyone from here please help me resolve this? Thank you.
