  Hello,

  I have signed up with wordpress and would like to know if our hosting can be moved to Australia’s datacenter?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  My question was a generic one: does WORDPRESS has DATACENTER(s) in Australia and if YES, how we can choose where to host (geo location for web site),

  Our servers are located around the world for performance but you are not able to pick which one your site is using.

  No, we have just opened the account for testing purposes and therefore being in IT industry for 25+ years, used to ask one of the main questions when we test any internet product: WHAT IS YOUR HOSTING SOLUTION EVERAGE ROUND TRIP TIME?
  As we all know, this value depends on the distance between the server and end users, and also how many hops the request has to jump in both directions (just physics=speed of light and signal delay caused by equipment it travels through)

  For us, this question is also important from security point of view: website hosting location dictates which LAWS are applied for DATA kept on it.

  If you could answer these questions, thanks in advance.

  WordPress.COM has multiple server farms all around the globe and our sites are not on permanent IP addresses. They are on dynamic IPs. The return time I do not know but as I have been here for 11 years I can say with confidence that it is very quick.

  In fact wordpress.com servers also host VIP accounts like these ones https://vip.wordpress.com/clients/

  We do not have specific numbers. As timethief has stated, our servers are distributed across the globe and sites are not served on the same server.
