Hosting my website through wordpress

    Hello,

First….I love WordPress! Thank you for being great!

I have the domain names http://www.annseelye.com and http://www.wiseandwellwomen.com registered through GoDaddy, and but I want to just have both of these names registered and hosted through WordPress for the website http://www.annseelye.wordpress.com (as some of my other websites are eg. http://www.elizalay.com and http://www.seachangeryan.com). I want http://www.wiseandwellwomen.com to be primarily address, and for http://www.annseelye.com to point to http://www.wiseandwellwomen.com. Currently I have all of the addresses in the account, but because they are not hosted anywhere they cannot be mapped, and they all just go to a GoDaddy parked page. http://Www.annseelye.wordpress.com used to display before I tried to map the other two addresses.

I called GoDaddy and they say that if they are to host it I have to download all of the files from WordPress onto my desktop and then upload them into GoDaddy which I’d really rather not do. Also they are twice as expensive as you are. My preference is just to have those sites (www.annseelye.com and http://www.wiseandwellwomen) to be hosted through you directly like my other sites are. I asked them if the way to do this would be to cancel my domain names with them and just buy them again through you, but they said they don’t recommend that. So I don’t really know what my next move is. Can you please tell me? I think it is to cancel my names with GoDaddy and buy them again through you and just do everything through you. Is that correct or is there a better option that I don’t know about?

    Thanks!
    Eliza

    Hi there,

Well it looks like you’re actually already on your way to what I would recommend!

You’ve already got the WordPress.com account annseelye.wordpress.com, which is great.

Attached to that account, you have mapping for the domains wiseandwellwomen.com and annseelye.com, which is also great.

All you really have to do at this point is to log in to your GoDaddy account and change your nameservers for those two domains to point to our servers and those domains will point correctly. The nameservers that you want to put in are:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

You’ll want to put the nameservers in for each of your domains. Once you make that change, give it between 1 and 24 hours, and your site should come up!

Let me know if you run into any issues.
