Hosting new site

    Hi all, I am creating a blog and want to host it on WordPress. My question is, if I host it and pay the service for 1 year what happens to the domain name after this year if I don’t want to pay anymore ? Will it still be the same or will it be downgraded to the previous URL used, mentioning .wordpress ?

    Hi @kreativeartzy, just to clarify, is the domain registered elsewhere? Whether it’s here or with another registrar, you’ll need to keep paying for it if you want it to continue working.

    In most cases if you stop using a plan, your site will automatically downgrade to the free version: free address, free theme, etc. But if you had plugins or outside themes installed with our Business plan, you’ll need to downgrade through support rather than just allowing it to expire.
