Hosting on WordPress

    We have been informed by a webdesigner that you cannot host on WordPress nor is there an uploading option for custom designs. We have also been informed that we have to purchase hosting from Godaddy or some other hosting company in order to set up our new WordPress website. Please confirm whether this is the case as we are trying to redesign our WordPress website.

    Themes can’t be uploaded to blogs hosted on WordPress.com. They can only be uploaded to self-hosted blogs running on WordPress.org software. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:
