Hosting question

  Hi guys,
  I am new to wordpress and have picked up website development as a hobby and learning to create it on my own. I have seen that wordpress lets you have a free blog/website but what if I wanted my own custom domain name such as example.com instead of example.wordpress.com. If i buy the premium or the business package from wordpress does that include the hosting as well ? or will I need to buy hosting on my own ?
