  Hey! I have a question! I want to move my existing blog to WordPress.org and so I need a hosting service. Can WordPress.com work as a hosting service with the WordPress.org? So like can I download wordpress.org and then buy a wordpress.com plan and that way get a hosting service from my wordpress.org blog? I hope I can present my question clearly enough :)

  Can WordPress.com work as a hosting service with the WordPress.org?

  Only sites created on WordPress.com can be hosted with us — WordPress.org software cannot be installed here because it isn’t compatible with our platform. It’s also worth noting that our plans are only available for WordPress.com sites.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are separate entities. This documentation about the differences between the two may be useful:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  If you want to use WordPress.org software, you will need to find a third party host and install it on their servers :)
