Hi Caroline,
I’m afraid there is no phone support for sites hosted on WordPress.com.
Here are all the support options: http://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
Based on your question, I’m also not completely sure the WordPress.COM staff are the right people to help you. Could you tell us a little more about what you are trying to do, including the URL of the site you are trying to transfer?
I ask because if you have a self-hosted WordPress site, we won’t be able to help you here. Here’s the difference between WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I created the free wordpress domain. but now I have purchased hosting from fatcow and they said I would have to contact you to complete the transfer for this domain name to transfer to fat cow.
the url is: ns1.fatcow.com and ns2.fatcow.com
what should I do in order to keep this domain(thesillysoundsofsummertime)

Here’s a summary of how to make the move to a WordPress.ORG install.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate.
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/1. Hire a web host and purchase a domain http://wordpress.org/hosting/
2. Set up a WordPress.org install and equip it with a theme and plugins.
http://wordpress.org/themes/
http://wordpress.org/plugins/3. To move your content you need to create an XML export file of your content. It will not include the theme and widgets as they cannot be exported. Export your content out of your WordPress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ and import it into the install.
4. WordPress.com is the top level domain here and all blogs hosted by WordPress.com are on .wordpress.com sub-domains.
(a) Purchase a site redirect upgrade from wordpress.com
http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/(b) Or if you have purchased domain mapping from WordPress.COM then see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/#change-name-servers-to-point-the-domain-outside-of-wordpress-com and here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
5. Transfer subscribers See http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/
6. Set your wordpress.com blog visibility to private. To change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Alternatively you can purchase a Guided Transfer and Staff will do the move and set up for you http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/
WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

Just to clarify, hosting comes free with your sillysoundsofsummertime.wordpress.com domain, so you might not need to transfer to your hosting site at all.
Take a look at this article: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you are ok with the restrictions listed in the “.COM” column, you can save yourself some money and skip hosting. You could even pay a little and have the domain sillysoundsofsummertime.com mapped to your site that is freely hosted here.
If what you want is a self hosted site (.ORG) follow the excellent instructions from Timethief on how to make that happen.

just one more thing, it’s actually not possible to transfer the domain sillysoundsofsummertime.wordpress.com to Fatcow as it’s a subdomain of WordPress.com and while you are the only one who will ever be able to use it, you don’t technically own it.
