hosting wordpress.com blog
-
I need to know specifically about changing the wordpress.com blog to a site which is hosted at any server. I am planning to host my blog in a server, my doubt is whether it would make any changes in the amount of traffic that I am currently receiving. Whether the selection of hosting service play any role in deciding traffic? If I am going for a local server, will it affect traffic and online visibility?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What do you mean when you say “If I am going for a local server?” A web host near you, or…?
-
local server means I thought of selecting a hosting service other than the recommended ones from wordpress. My question is “whether the selection of hosting service play any role in the traffic ?”

Only if they are unreliable and your site is often down. Other than that, no. Search engines and such don’t care where you are hosted.
One thing to remember is that you will never have the search engine rank on a self-hosted installation that you will at wordpress.COM. There are too many things in the way wordpress.COM is structured that gives bloggers here huge SEO benefits, and they work hard at that. Just think, when you blog here you are on a platform that has a page rank of 9/10 and bloggers here share in that huge page rank.

thank you so much for the info..actually Due to this reason I am afraid to change my blog from this platform.

Wait.
There are some other factors. Since your URL is http://myjournal4all.wordpress.com/ that will have to change, and no matter where it is hosted, a new URL starts from zero pagerank.
As well, the subdomain of a very popular domain, like whatever.salon.com or whatever.wordpress.com will ALWAYS have more SEO, Googlejuice, whatever you want to call it, than a simple whatever.com.
So the real issue is with changing your URL, not with the rest of the move.
